Grand Hotel Culture Centre, Nature Park House and Heating Plant
The Grand Hotel was built in 1871 and is located directly opposite the train station. This is where European aristocracy and the rich spent their summers. The so-called "Southern Railway Hotel" (Südbahnhotel) provided the basis for the touristic development of the village of Dobbiaco. Today, the Grand Hotel hosts a modern culture and congress centre, a hostel, the Nature Park House, a music school, the Alta Pusteria Youth Service, an educational centre, council flats, and a holiday home for the bishop's aid organisation. The highlight of the building is the "Gustav Mahler Auditorium" with excellent acoustics and 460 seats. The Nature Park House provides an insight into the world of the nature resorts Sesto Dolomites and Fanes – Senes – Braies. Experience nature from close, feel it, and see it.
Attraction: A forest adventure path leads from the ForestWonderWorld through the tree village, on to the Celtic tree horoscope and to the biomass educational path at the heating plant.
